Inozyme Pharma is a rare disease biopharmaceutical company developing novel therapeutics for the treatment of diseases of abnormal mineralization impacting the vasculature, soft tissue and skeleton.
Through our in-depth understanding of the biological pathways involved in mineralization, we are pursuing the development of therapeutics to address the underlying causes of these debilitating diseases. It is well established that two genes, ENPP1 and ABCC6, play key roles in a critical mineralization pathway and that defects in these genes lead to abnormal mineralization. We are initially focused on developing a novel therapy to treat the rare genetic diseases of ENPP1 and ABCC6 Deficiencies.

Our goal is to give people with PH a manageable condition
At Janssen, we are spearheading a new era for PH, working to transform the disease into a long-term manageable condition, so that patients can live a normal life. Supported by Actelion’s 20-year heritage of pioneering innovation, we are working to reach more patients and aim to help tackle the diagnosis gap that is delaying access to the care that patients need.
We’re focused not only on how we treat PH but on a broader spectrum of goals for the PH community. That includes enhancing patient care, as well as advocating and educating to facilitate faster diagnosis.

We are the only UK-wide charity for young people and adults born with all forms of Congenital Heart Disease (CHD) founded by Cardiologist Professor Jane Somerville who recognised the difficulties faced and the need for ongoing support.
In the 1960s, the 1 in every 100 babies born with CHD had a 15% chance of survival to the age of 16. Today, thanks to medical advances, this is around 90%. We help to combat isolation and loneliness for teenagers transferring to adult services, the first generation with CHD reaching old age, plus everyone in between.
Whilst CHD is a physical disorder, the impact on mental health is often greater. Needing regular specialist follow up means always thinking of yourself as a patient and living with an incurable disease is a burden on the mind. Our Mental Health & Wellbeing Counsellors (both of whom have CHD) provide 500+ hours of support annually.
We provide support, advocacy and a community through free resources including counselling, a helpline, publications and events. Our closed Facebook group provides a safe space for peer support – for those with CHD to talk to each other, discuss concerns, and express frustrations in confidence. Members can broaden their knowledge and understanding by sharing experiences and supporting others to become expert patients. Our e-newsletter is packed with heart stories, a spotlight on a specialist hospital and useful advice.
